Dear Fotopizza Friends!
We will be working on the Ecuador movie, the project of movie director Karsten Hinrichs, untill the 6th of January 2012. So we like to say: „Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year“ already now! The new year has announced itself with many pre-planned projects, and we look forward to being there for our clients and friends with new photography- and very special film projects in 2012.

The Ecuador Project

Fotopizza is proud to support a personal pro-bono film project of Director Karsten Hinrichs. In co-operation with the arch-diocese of Munich & Freising (Germany), and on the occasion of the almost 50 years of partnership betweeen this arch-diocese and the arch-diocese of Quito, Hinrichs is producing a 30-minutes documentary movie about the hard and good work the Catholic Church is doing in Ecuador. In times, where only negative news about the church make it in the headlines of the newspapers, we should not forget what demanding work these institutions do to make life better for the local people. That is an on-going project, that will take us to Ecuador several times in the future. Latest news on the project will be given here...
A Midsummer Adventure

It is done! The first mobile asphalt mixing plant „Blackmove II“, made by the Swiss company Ammann AG, and run by the Swedish company PEAB Asfalt, is operational and working perfectly! Fotopizza took part in this adventure- from the transport from Switzerland to Sweden untill the first asphalt production! So watch here our latest movie „Blackmove II: A Midsummer Adventure“. By clicking on „Film Poster“ in the menu you can also see the film poster for this movie, and in „Panorama Photography“ you will find the stunning huge 180° panorama image of the Hössjö stone pit, where the plant is operated at the moment. Fotopizza produces the new product film for the AFW-150 G, a smart little paving machine for bringing out asphalt as well as cold material, made by the Swiss company Ammann AG. With that unique minipaver, contruction- as well as gardening and landscape building companies can offer the quality and performance of a machinised workflow even for smaller jobs. A good thing, don`t you think? The filming was completed in August, now it`s time for the post-production. We inform you here when the film is ready and online. And we promise you: You have probably never seen a film like this before! Come back- we make it worth your while!

Liebe fotopizza-Freunde!
Im Juli erhielten wir die schreckliche Nachricht von einem schweren Schicksalsschlag in der Famile unseres langjährigen Freundes Andreas Reinecke. Am Tag nach der Geburt des 1. Kindes wurde bei der Mutter, Astrid, Leukämie diagnostiziert. Seit dem kämpft sie mutig gegen diese Krankheit im Klinikum „Rechts der Isar“ in München. An das lang ersehnte Familienglück ist vorerst nicht zu denken. Liebe Freunde, das erinnert uns schmerzlich daran, dass eigentlich nichts von dem was wir hier tun von echter Bedeutung ist- und dass nur Menschen, Freundschaft, Familie und Liebe wirklichen Wert haben.
Fotopizza unterstützt den Kampf der Familie Reinecke um ihr Glück mit der Teilnahme an der Knochenmarkstypisierung sowie einer Spende für die Aktion „Hilfe für Astrid“. How to make a lamp post?

A lamp post is a trivial every day object for sure. We see hundreds of them day by day. So, how hard can it be to make one? But during my work at the brand new lamp post factory, run by company EUROPOLES in Poland, I could see first hand how much know-how is necessary to make lamp post in large numbers in a short period of time. And at the end of my commission, I had enough time to create a beautiful twilight-panorama image of the interestingly designed factory building. ›› more

The plant, assembled near the Simplon mountain pass in the Swiss Alps, is producing the concrete that is needed to reinforce the local dam. Helicopter instead of crane

Instead of using crane, the assembly team chose to call for a helicopter with company ROTEX to insert the aggregate elevator belt into the elevator housing of an asphalt mixing plant. Good idea- the work was done faster and cheaper than it could have been done by crane.... ›› more
